The ARL offers high quality analytical services to all the UF/IFAS researchers state-wide. Researchers are requested to contact the Lab a few months in advance for information on the available selection of tests and regarding their analytical needs. In specific instances the Lab can offer some specialized need-based tests. Usually at least 6 weeks of advance notice is required to schedule samples and start processing.
Most of the analyses are certified by National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP). In these cases the Lab has a Comprehensive Quality Assurance Plan on file with the NELAP (E72850).
The Lab handles all these samples 'as is' basis, and the researchers are expected to contact FDEP regarding sample collection protocols and approved methods. Analytical reports will contain data qualifiers as per the QA protocol.
